چکیده

Network update enables Software-Defined Networks (SDNs) to optimize the data plane performance. The single focuses on processing one event at a time, i.e. , updating set of flows from their initial routes target routes, but it fails handle continuously arriving events in time incurred by high-frequency network changes. On contrary, continuous proposed “Update Algebra” can multiple concurrently and respond condition changes all times. However, only guarantees blackhole-free loop-free update. congestion-free property cannot be respected. In this paper, we propose Coeus achieve while maintaining consistency, ensuring blackhole-free, loop-free, properties simultaneously. Firstly, establish model based operations events. With model, dynamically reconstruct operation dependency graph (ODG) capture relationship between link utilization variations. Then, develop composition algorithm eliminate redundant To further speed up procedure, present partition split nodes ODG into series suboperation that executed independently. is proven optimal. Finally, extensive evaluations show improve least 179% reduce 52% compared with state-of-the-art approaches when arrival rate equals three times per second.

Controller Placement in Software Defined Network using Iterated Local Search

Software defined network is a new computer network architecture who separates controller and data layer in network devices such as switches and routers. By the emerge of software defined networks, a class of location problems, called controller placement problem, has attracted much more research attention. The task in the problem is to simultaneously find optimal number and location of controll...

Network Management Challenges in Software-Defined Networks

Software-Defined Networking currently appears to be a major evolution towards network programmability. In this paper, we first analyze the network management capabilities of OpenFlow in order to identify the main challenges that are raised for SDN management. We address current deficiencies of SDN management and suggest solutions that incur research directions to be carried out for the manageme...

Enforcing Customizable Consistency Properties in Software-Defined Networks

It is critical to ensure that network policy remains consistent during state transitions. However, existing techniques impose a high cost in update delay, and/or FIB space. We propose the Customizable Consistency Generator (CCG), a fast and generic framework to support customizable consistency policies during network updates. CCG effectively reduces the task of synthesizing an update plan under...

Quality of Service Guaranteed Resource Management Dynamically in Software Defined Network

Quality of Service (QoS) is the idea that transmission rates, error rates, and other characteristics can be measured, improved, and, to some extent, guaranteed in advance. It is difficult to guarantee the performance requirements for various services with current Internet. Therefore, meeting ever-growing QoS requirements for those services is an urgently resolved problem. In this paper, we desi...

Neural Network Based Protection of Software Defined Network Controller against Distributed Denial of Service Attacks

Software Defined Network (SDN) is a new architecture for network management and its main concept is centralizing network management in the network control level that has an overview of the network and determines the forwarding rules for switches and routers (the data level). Although this centralized control is the main advantage of SDN, it is also a single point of failure. If this main contro...
